Urdu Ki Bahar, a colourful series of Urdu textbooks, is a part of Lightstone Publishers’ mission of making Urdu an enjoyable and stimulating learning experience for pupils. Urdu textbooks are not considered on par with other textbooks’ presentation and content. Urdu Ki Bahar has been created to address this.

Urdu Ki Bahar is designed for schoolchildren from Pre-nursery to class 8. It enhances their interest in Urdu through engaging lessons and digital resources such as animated stories, games, exercises and videos. Grammar and written activities have been integrated skillfully into the lessons. Instructions to the teacher on the pages of the pre-school books familiarise them with the fundamental rules of pedagogy.

Urdu Ki Bahar introduces students to the issues of the age they live in, instils pride in their literary heritage and increases their interest in Urdu.

The contents of Urdu Ki Bahar include poems from the works of the best Urdu poets, exciting and thought-provoking comprehension passages, stimulating exercises and attractive research-based or imaginative writing assignments. There is a separate chapter on extra grammar in Books 6–8.
