Zahid Hussain is an award-winning journalist and author. He is a former correspondent of The Times of London and The Wall Street Journal. He has also covered Pakistan and Afghanistan for several other international publications including Newsweek and The Economist. He was a senior editor at Newsline and also worked at Herald. Hussain was a Pakistan Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington DC. He has authored three books: Frontline Pakistan: The struggle with militant Islam, The Scorpion’s Tail: The relentless rise of Islamic Militants in Pakistan, and his latest, No Win War-The paradox of US-Pakistan relations under Afghanistan’s shadow. He writes regular columns for Dawn.
